Kenyon had a great first meet. It was cold and wet the entire time. Kenyon pushed through like a veteran and displayed the characteristics of becoming a great athelete. Congratualtions to Kenyon Smith on being Week #1 Athlete of the Week!!
Due to meet issues, everyone did not have a chance to participate. No athlete of the week this week.
This particular track meet did not have a 400 meter dash. So the 400 meter athletes were asked to run the 800. Stephanie, running the 800 for the first time, surprised the coaches by putting up a fantastic time. Congratulations to Stephanie Sutton. Week #3 Athlete of the Week!
This next athlete works hard every practice and gives it her all every meet. If she is told to run harder, faster and longer, she does just that. Alia may not be the fastest on the track, but you will find very few that work as hard. Congratulations Alia for being Week #4 Athlete of the Week!
When an athlete runs a P.R. after P.R. after P.R., we start to take notice. Each week Jaden is among the many hard workers we have each week. Earlier in the season, Jaden injured his foot.
After returning, Jaden worked harder than ever and continues to PR every time he runs.
Congratulations Jaden, for being week #5 athlete of the week!
A machine; that's how we decribe Cameron. Cameron is long overdue for this award. Cameron comes to practice each day with no questions or back talk and does exactly what he is supposed to do.
He is also a prime example of what happens when you give real effort in practice. Although he is at the bottom of his age group, Cam is performing very well.
Congratulations Cameron, week #6 'Athlete of the Week'!
This is Saxen's second year running and it's paying off for him. Because that first year is already under his belt, he knows what to expect in practice and in meets and does his best.
Saxen came close to winning the AOW award several times this year and his performances at meets finally got him the award. Congratulations Saxen, for being Week #7 Athlete of the Week!
Isaac has the potential to be a great sprinter. He has worked harder this year than he has in years past. Its beginning to show with his 100 meter times.
Isaac broke the 100 meter record for the 12 yr olds twice this weekend. Congratulations Isaac, week 8 Athlete Of The Week!
