Looking for dedicated parents? Look no further than youth sports. Youth Track & Field, however, requires a dedicated parent on an entirely different level.
Not to lessen the value of time parents spend at youth football, basketball, baseball or soccer, but the amount of time spent in those sports is just a drop in the bucket when compared against Track & Field.
All day...and I mean ALL DAY athletes, parents and coaches are at the track. Braving the cold and wet weather for the first few meets and getting beat up by the sun and the heat for the remainder of the meets. Oh, and did I say ALL DAY!! 7:30am till 10pm? DEDICATION !!

On the track, he is a 1987 graduate of North forsyth High School. Harvey joined The Winston Salem Roadrunners as an athlete at age 13, where he found guidance from the many coaches that volunteered their time to help the youth in poor neighborhoods.
After High School, Harvey studied at Winston Salem State University for a year before transferring to Appalachian State University to continue his studies and run track.
At Appalachian, he was a pure sprinter with the 55M and 100M dash as his best events. Harvey was a part of the team that won several conference meets from 89-91.
