Our first long distant meet (Technique Relays in Virginia, 4 hours from home). Took some driving, but we made it. Now it time for business!
The Roadrunners did not disappoint. Lots of medals came home with us this week. It was like we had a relay for every season and then some. Can you say 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400 (A-Team, B-Team)?? And yes, we all did well.
Not stopping there, Joshua Scales shows the ‘Heart’ of a Roadrunner. His long jump was cancelled due to the pit being too muddy. Not an 800 meter runner, he volunteered to run it. While battling with another athlete towards the finish, they got their feet tangled and he went down and got some scrapes. Not quitting, he got back up and finished the race! ROADRUNNERS!! BEEP BEEP!!
